Micah 1:1 NIV
The word of the LORD that came to Micah of Moresheth during the regns of Jotham, Ahaz and Hezekiah, kings of Judah - the vision he saw concerning Samaria and Jerusalem
Today, for my OT reading, I read the first two chapters of the book of the prophet Micah of Moresheth. Micah was called by the LORD to prophesy to both Samaria (capital of the northern kingdom of Israel) and Jerusalem (capital of the southern kingdom of Judah). He carried out his ministry during the reigns of the 11th to 13th kings of Judah:
- 11. Jotham ben Uzziah
- 12. Ahaz ben Jotham
- 13. Hezekiah ben Ahaz
For my NT reading, I continued to read about the unfolding of the Third Woe (brought about by the sounding of the Seventh Trumpet) in Revelation chapter 12 and 13, from the emergence of the Dragon who persecuted the Woman and her Child, to the First Beast from the Sea, and the Second Beast from the Earth who imposed the Mark of the Beast, the number 666 on all people on earth
